Meet Dr. Mitch Abblett
I’m Dr. Mitch Abblett—a psychologist, author, and speaker dedicated to helping people own their moments in relationships, career, leadership, parenting and every aspect of daily life.
For over two decades, I’ve worked with individuals, families, and organizations to break free from reactive patterns and cultivate deeper awareness, impact, and connection. My approach blends mindfulness, behavioral science, and real-world practicality to help people shift from autopilot to intentional, unselfish living.
I’ve served as Executive Director of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, led the clinical team at Harvard-affiliated Judge Baker Children’s Center's Manville School, and written multiple books on communication, emotional resilience, and mindful leadership—including Prizeworthy, a Nautilus Award-winning guide to transforming how we support and connect with kids.
Today, I work with individuals and organizations worldwide, delivering keynotes, trainings, and consultation on what I call Momentology -- the science-based art of owning moments. Whether it's by way of a talk, workshop, as a patient in my private clinical practice or a group or individual coaching client, or one of my books, my goal is simple: to provide more people access to what happens when life is lived in moments fully owned.

 Comments from ClientsÂ
"There was something deeply grounding and healing about this work. Mitch helped me understand that the moments I usually rush through, resist, or try to outthink are often the exact moments that need my attention. Through Momentology, I’ve become more capable of meeting those moments with honesty and curiosity, and that has changed how I show up at home, at work, and with myself."
"Learning Momentology methods with Mitch was powerful in a way that surprised me. He helped me slow down enough to actually feel what was going on in my life instead of constantly racing to the next thing. That alone opened the door to more healing, more honest connection, and a deeper sense of meaning in both my personal and professional life."
